I’ve been slacking with the writing aspect of this blog.. but between work and running around on my days off it’s hard to sit down and write! We’re finally approaching my favorite season.. summer! I rounded up some of my favorite products to get you through the upcoming hot months!
Shu Uemura “Nourishing taming overnight serum” $69
I received this product to try out before it launched (perks of being a hairdresser) After I got back from Florida the ends of my hair felt crunchy and dry from the Florida water and the beach. You pump about 2 pumps into your hand and run it through towel dried/dried hair before bed. My hair feels like silk in the morning, it totally reversed the dry feel! The best part is it didn’t leave my fine hair greasy or oily at all! I just styled my hair as I usually do in the morning..I’m sold. It also helps to tame frizz so it’s a great summer product.
Laneige “Lip sleeping mask” $20
My hair isn’t the only thing that gets dry in the summer. My lips get dry too.. actually they are basically dry year round (I wear lipstick on the daily) I found this on Sephora and decided to give it a try. I slather it on before bed and my lips feel instantly moisturized. I’m always looking for the best lip moisturizer because like anything else after time I feel like products stop working so I’m hoping this will continue to do the job!
Palmers “Coconut body oil” $7
I bought this oil after getting a spray tan because you’re not supposed to use anything with mineral oil so I found this and OMG, I’m obsessed. I usually mix it with my regular body lotion and it makes your skin look and feel super smooth and adds just the right amount of sheen. I feel like it also helps hold my tan longer.
Olehenriksen “Balancing force Oil control toner” $26
In the summer after a day at the salon sweating (I’m alwaysssssss hot 😥) I can’t wait to get home to shower and take my makeup off. I wanted to try using a toner again and taking better care of my skin. I love the refreshing feel this gives after applying it. I feel like I’m deep cleaning my pores. At the same time this product isn’t drying my skin out and it’s supposed to control oil so it’s a perfect skin product for summer months when our skin tends to be more oily.
BaliBody “BB cream” $30
I’ve seen loads of adds for this company all over Instagram and Facebook so I decided to see what the fuss was about. I like their tanning oils but this B.B. cream was my ultimate favorite when I was away in Florida. I purchased it in the shade “tan” It works as a light weight foundation to perfect the skin while also protecting it from the sun with spf15. It’s super light weight and perfect for those hot days you don’t feel like wearing regular foundation.
