Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything on my blog. I still can’t believe another year has come & gone. It’s always a crazy time for me around the holidays so I’ve been MIA. Hopefully I will find more time in the new year to come up with content. I decided to round up some things I started to love the end of last year that I will probably continue to love in the years to come. If you give some of these a shot I swear you won’t be disappointed!
Skin care –
Since I’m almost 30 I decided it was time to take better care of my skin. I suffer from roseaca flare ups around my chin/mouth area which usually get worse in the winter months with having no tan and showering in extremely hot water (So bad for your skin and hair ..I know😱) I received some samples from Sephora by a brand called “OLEHENRICKSEN” I received a 7 day supply of their ‘Truth Serum’ / ‘C-rush Brightening Gel Crème’ combo and decided to give the products a shot. I immediately felt my skin clearing up. I had been using a creme specifically for redness that was doing absolutely nothing for me. I then purchased the full size products & I use them in the morning before I apply my makeup and again before bed. My skin looks refreshed & the redness has almost disappeared. I was probably never hydrating my skin enough in the past! You live and you learn!

Micellar Cleansing Water –
I use ponds makeup removing towelettes in the shower but sometimes I still wind up with mascara residue & stubborn lipstick that won’t fully come off. I put little of the cleansing water on a cotton round and swipe over my eyes or lips after the shower and it takes everything off without having to rub or pull your skin. You could use it solely to take off all your makeup if you wanted & it leaves no sticky feeling or residue after, which I loveee!

Microfiber towels –
I started to notice breakage in the front of my hair & realized it was from wrapping my hair in a bath towel after the shower. The heavy towel was pulling on my hair causing it to break. A client of mine was telling me how she uses this diva curl towel that’s lightweight & absorbent. She then bought me one for Christmas & I loved it. I decided to order more on amazon.. I ordered ones with buttons & loop holes which are amazing because they stay secure. I will definitely always travel with one of these on hand!

Invisibobble Sprunchie –
Again on the topic of hair damage.. I recently just got into the invisibobbles so when I saw they came out with a scrunchie version I had to try it. They are comfortable to sleep in and dont pull your hair out when you remove them.. and who doesn’t love a 90s scrunchie?! My cat can now have all my old basic scrunchies 🤣
Silk Pillow Case –
…& one more thing to do with hair (I mean I am a hairdresser 🤷🏼♀️) I’ve always heard that silk pillow cases were better for your hair and skin. Well I wish I listened & got one sooner! When I woke up my hair used to dry and crunchy on the ends after sleeping on it.. now with the silk pillow case it stays soft and moisturized. I also don’t have pillow marks on my face anymore from when I sleep hard 🤣 everyone needs a silk pillow case in their life!
